Step 1

Showing the silver wire wrapped process

Start by wrapping the silver wire around the sterling silver circle 5–6 times.

When wrapping the wire, keep each wrap close to the previous one so neat lines are created.

Step 2

Thread bead onto wire

Thread on a sterling silver bead and continue wrapping the wire around the silver circle. You may need to hold onto the sterling silver ball in place whilst you make the first wrap.

Step 3

Continue to wrap wire and add bead

Continue to wrap the wire around the silver circle, adding a bead after every 5–6 wraps or to your specifications.

Step 4

Finish by wrapping more wire

When you are happy with the number of beads you have added to the silver circle, finish by wrapping the wire 5–6 times around the silver circle to match the beginning wire wraps.

Cut off any excess wire with wire cutters.

Gently push the ends of the wire on either side of the circle with your fingers or pliers so they sit flush against the silver circle.

Step 5

Open hook wire using pliers

Attach the hook wires by gripping the hoop of the hook wires with a pair of snipe nose, flat or chain nose pliers on both sides. Twist one pair of pliers forward to open the loop.

Step 6

Thread hook wire and close using pliers

Thread the earring hoop through the silver circle and then close the hoop by gripping the hoop of the hook wires with a pair of snipe nose, flat, or chain nose pliers on one side and another pair of pliers on the other side.

Twist one pair of pliers back to close the hoop flush.
